I've been telling myself for the last month that I'm not buying one of these...
However mouse buttons were clicked, keyboard buttons were pressed and one arrived today!!

Today I received possibly the definitive guide to 68000 hardware development for 68000 - 68030.
Re: Today I Received...
As an update on this, I just wanted to say that this is absolutely the best and most understandable 680X0 book I have ever read. I own a bookshelf of them and by far this is the most.... relatable.Dave wrote:Today I received possibly the definitive guide to 68000 hardware development for 68000 - 68030.

The Motorola 68020 and 68030 Microprocessors: Assembly Language, Interfacing and Design by Thomas L. Harman,
ISBN: 0-13-603953-7
Prentice-Hall
1989
10 years older than the other book, but on later CPUs. Smells lovely, of that old book coffee/chocolate and sunlight warm odor.
Re: Today I Received...
Today I received a Prism VTX5000, and I have been scammed.
No, Outsoft sold me exactly what he said he did. It's Prism who scammed me. I am completely happy with Simone Voltolini's presentation of the item and he did not mislead me in any way.
But, and this bears shouting:
WHY WOULD A MANUFACTURER RELEASE TWO COMPLETELY DIFFERENT THINGS WITH THE SAME MODEL NUMBER?!?!
You see, I bought a Prism VTX5000 for my QL in the 80s. I ran up regular £300+ phone bills for my mum with it. It finally went away in 1998. I saw Simone was selling another, so I jumped on it. No. It's *completely* different. It connects to a Spectrum expansion port. It doesn't even have a serial port.
It's useless to me.
Damnit!
