Recently a large cartridge lot of QL Software was sold on Ebay for a crazy price. It had some titles I have never seen, like Anelpum Quat, Macsporran's Lament, G_G system, Astro, Orbiting stars, Uncle Loonie. By any chance, is the buyer on this forum?

Anelpum Quat was written by Nick Ward, who provided his approval for his software to be released as freeware. All his other programs are on Dilwyn's site, but Anelpum Quat was MIA. That is why I was asking if anyone here bought the cartridges.
Dave Watson was the author of Macsporran's Lament , Uncle Loonie's Legacy (both published by C.G.H. Services) and Mines of Baba-Nogl. I do not know the status of these games.

I may have a copy of Anelpum Quat - it rings a bell. Something like exploring a submarine, using the QL character set graphics? Or am I thinking of something else. I think I also have a copy of McSporran's lament, I'm sure. Both from CGH Services iirc.

I'll have a rummage in my disk collection.

Please do! And post the programs!
Thank you!

Ah yes. So probably exploring the innards of the QL rather than a sub. :)

May have to wait until this weekend - I need to dig out the disks and drives and I've got a week from hell, work wise :(

Do we know the status of McSporran, in terms of whether we can place it in the wild? Anyone still in touch with the authors?

Anelpum Quat and the various adventures by Dave Watson were great (think there was also Katy Watson involved) - Richard A. should be able to fill in the blanks.

Unfortunately, I never managed to track down Dave Watson and family to ask about whether their games could be released into the public domain.

Most of those programs look to be ex CGH Services programs with a few from QL World, with quite a few marked as missing in action and no contact with the original authors. In fact looking at the duplicates etc, I wonder if Richard listed these on ebay!

The most important ones to find and preserve are:
Gee-Gee System was by Impact Entertainments (who also did a great football based adventure, Here We Go).
Astro by Nick Ward
Orbiting Stars by John Topham
MacSporran's Lament adventure by Dave & Ann Watson
Uncle Loonie's Legacy adventure / puzzle game by Dave & Ann Watson
Squidgy Round The World - another great arcade game by Michael Crowe
Sector X - arcade game by Horst Spierling
Rock-Fall - boulderdash clone by Andrew Toone

Not heard of:
StarCruiser
Skat_bas
Asimov
Superspy (unless that is to do with the Spy editor?)
