Q-Emulator for Mac

Hi All, Happy New Year!

My Mac Q-emulator has stopped working with the temporary 2023 registration key this morning

I was wondering if anyone knows if the author intends to re-enable registrations in 2024 for Mac (am more than happy to pay as I've found it very useful) please?

I've just installed Windows 11 ARM in parallels on my M1 Mac and Q-emuLator seems to work fine on that, so will purchase a Windows licence

So you are virtualising Windows, and Windows is then doing the Intel to ARM conversion - nice

I wonder whether Daniele can be persuaded to restart sales of the Mac version, as that runs fine under Rosetta 2. Anyone know whether he has plans for an ARM native (Apple Silicon) version on macOS?

Luckily I had an unused W10 Pro activation code still hanging around and it was happy to accept that

Sorry, if it's a dumb question. Does a registration cove both platforms or has it to be licensend individually? I am using the temp key on Mac as well, but if a key woud be valid for both platforms, I would register now to support further development.

If the authors read this... AUnless you are using special Intel code in Q-Emulator, chances are high that you can cross-compile für Apple Silicon on your Intel Mac. You could even merge a x64 and arm64 builds into a universal build with the lipo tool. Only if you have for example Intel assembly in your code, it won't work. Let me know if you need any input on this, will happily share.

I don't get any adverts - maybe because it accepted my W10 licence I found? (though I don't use the start menu so they could be there!)

I just have a few emulations and tools on the desktop and rarely use it
