The euros are nearly here! I'm not a huge fan of watching England in recent times due to them usually being rubbish, so I tend to watch other games too. I'll be keeping a keen eye on Wales too.

We have lots of users from all over Europe, did your team make the finals?
Are you looking forward to it? (or can't bare to watch) :P
Predictions? Who will make the groups and who will win?

I think it will be a France - Germany final, I'll have to think on the rest.

Did you use a QL to analyse the statistics to come to that conclusion?

By all means keep an eye on Wales, but bear Sweden (3-0) in mind :(

This afternoon I'll be keeping an eye out for the Red Arrows who will be flying from RAF Scampton at 3.10pm to RAF Valley on Anglesey at 3.36pm, then 7.13pm to 7.40pm they'll fly over to the Isle of Man for a brief display for the TT Races.

Hehehehe, just a lot of umming and arrring, and smoke coming from my ears.

I've been following the TT too, they had lovely weather for it.

Boo, hiss, never materialised in the end. Bad weather over N Wales (thunder, lightning, rain, cloudy...and that was only my PC!) meant it got ancelled and they landed in Liverpool airport instead, drat and double drat.

Evening all,

Scotland didn't qualify. As far as I know. I might be wrong, but I doubt it this time.

I will not be watching on the grounds that I loathe fitba with a vengeance, as I do with almost all sports, especially those that do not involve engines! Running jumping throwing, anything with balls in, no thanks!

England will most likely not win, but if they do, we'll obviously keep hearing about it for at least 50 years! ;-)

They will probably go out on penalties again. I think I read that they are the world champions at going out on penalties.

Grumpy? Sport hater? Me? Aye. And it's bloody Olympics this year as well. Sigh.

Cheers,
Norm.

Hehe I like motorsports! We won't mention it's the 20th anniversary of euro 96 and that famous Gazza goal v the Scots. I won't mention that great goal at all.

I have no idea of that which you speak!

I haven't watched any football since around 1967-68 when I was 7 or 8 years old. It was around then that I figured out that the "professional foul" was what we call "cheating" and I hate cheats, in any walk of life, or sport etc. I remember getting annoyed at a seemingly endless procession of defenders getting beaten or passed by the attackers (I think I have the correct terminology here!) and instead of trying to catch him, just fouled him instead. Just about every game I watched.

I gave up watching in the end.

So, given that this goal was in Euro 96, I'm afraid I'd have missed it. Someone told me also that during the 70s Scotland qualified for the World Cup? I missed that as well.

Enjoy the sport those of you who like that sort of thing, I'll be watching my lawn grow after its recent mowing - far more entertaining! ;)

Cheers,
Norm.

OK, so now I have watched fitba!

1. That was never a penalty!
2. That was indeed a bloody good goal.

I wonder where they all are now?

Cheers,
Norm.
