Hi,

I am sorry to say, I forgot about this Keyboard interface project.

My computer setup is based on PS/2 keyboard and mouse, input through a PS/2 to USB adapter, into a KVM Switch with USB input.

Connected to the KVM switch are to a Linux PC, Windows PC, which use USB, a Q68 and QL+QIMSI through a PS/2 switch box.

I was wondering how to integrate a second QL into the setup, maybe a second QIMSI is a solution or try and make an this keyboard interface.

Hi,

Was this keyboard project finalised?
Anyone tried to port it to RPi?

Regards
Chris

Hi,

I have done the schematic in KiCad, just need to settle on a PCB layout, but that is trivial.

I am wondering if a USB/PS/2 keyboard can be used in parallel with the existing QL keyboard.

Yes, this adapter works in parallel with the original keyboard.

I thought so, so the QL could be under the desk, with a switchable keyboard, integrating into a multi computer setup with a switch box.

Saves wear on the QL Keyboard Memrane

No problem to use this adapter in a setup as described by Derek.

Hello,

Thanks,
Have a couple of RPi and they are a cheaper option.

The CTRL, ALT and SHIFT keys are on their own line separate from any other keys, so pressing them and two other keys does not create a ghost click on the 4th corner. This adds one line on one axis of the table and three lines on the other, giving 9 and 11. The way this was done is very clever, I think.
