Hi,
Not code disassembly, physical disassembly.....
How do I free the cables that connect the top panel LEDs to the 6 way connector on the motherboard?
They are not coming out with gentle pulling as I've seen people do in videos.
Is there a trick to release them?
Thanks.
Edit: Oops, lever up the whole connector to release the clamping. Found it... sorry to trouble you all I should have tried a bit harder.

Re: Quick Disassembly Question
Hi,
There is a Black retaining clip that slides up that locks the wires in place.
Note the Clip does not come off, just lever it up carefully at each end a small amount, less than a millimetre.

Re: Quick Disassembly Question
The fun part is trying to put them all back in and push the clip down without one popping out (you did remember the wire order?)

Re: Quick Disassembly Question
Thank you all,
I've also found this reddish brown piece of plastic under mdv_1. Shown here alongside a PCB screw for scale.
Does anyone know what it is and where it goes back? I would guess some kind of packing out bodge.

Re: Quick Disassembly Question
I think that's the insulation thing that is normally pressed/glued against the RF shield that covers the ULA on mdv1_ (the other drive doesn't have one).
