Thanks to Marcel, today I received this new plaything. He mentioned Blue Pill and I ordered this, plus a pack of three Blue Pills which are "in the post".

Some fun and learning to come I suspect...

Cheers,
Norm.

The fancy one, yes. Plus a pack of three Blue Pills for £2.00 more than a single unit. Delivery tomorrow apparently.

This is the first money I've spent on non-food for 7 weeks! ;)

Cheers,
Norm.

The BluePill is famous for having a wrong pull-up resistor value on the USB D+ line, something to keep in mind if you want to use USB. Still this is a bit baffling since that has been known for years but still is not fixed.

Thanks very much Marcel. I was aware of the USB problem and now know the fix, if needed.

I've also got an ST-Link V2 coming. Blue pill delivery date is next Saturday. I can't count!

The fix details:

My three Blue Pills have arrived from AZ Delivery in Germany. (https://www.az-delivery.de/) and I get a free Ebook too!

I've opened one and done a quick check Marcel, resistor R10 is correct on the one I checked at 1.5 K rather than the incorrect 10 K, so things are looking good.

Cheers,
Norm.

Ah, good. Mine had 10k, but as reworking SMD is a piece of cake after all the QL hardware adventures I've done, it wasn't too much trouble ;) Have fun!
