Qdosmsq.dunbar-it.co.uk - breifely offline - DNS Change

Post by NormanDunbar »

[EDIT]: Yuk! Normally, I can spell "briefly"! :(

Just a heads up to anyone thinking of heading over to http://qdosmsq.dunbar-it.co.uk as my ISP has migrated me to a new, faster server, but this required a DNS change. If you cannot get through, then it's because the DNS change has yet to propagate out to your part of the world.

This affectes my blog as well, http://qdosmsq.dunbar-it.co.uk/blog - if anyone is interested in my various ramblings!

If you either ping or nslookup qdosmsq.dunbar-it.co.uk and get a respose of

Code: Select all

ping qdosmsq.dunbar-it.co.uk
PING qdosmsq.dunbar-it.co.uk (185.119.175.180) 56(84) bytes of data.
64 bytes from host50.servers.prgn.misp.co.uk (185.119.175.180): icmp_seq=1 ttl=52 time=25.0 ms
or

Code: Select all

nslookup qdosmsq.dunbar-it.co.uk
...
Non-authoritative answer:
Name:	qdosmsq.dunbar-it.co.uk
Address: 185.119.175.180
The new server name is hubble.servers.prgn.misp.co.uk with IP address 91.103.219.227, if you are still seeing "host50" or "185.119.175.180" then the DNS change hasn't reached you yet.

Cheers,
Norm.
