And it lives! :) I'll be honest, I was not expecting it to after all this time. Thank you all.

Can anyone recommend a stable power adapter for this machine? Ideally one with a decent length lead.

When you place an order for a new Flash ROM card with Rakewell, you could also order an AC power adapter. Vic used to have some small Notebook-like adaptors at reasonable price.

Other than that, you need a 6.5 (not lower, otherwise you will still discharge your batteries) to 7.2V DC (regulated!) source with a 3.5mm barrel plug, center positive.

Thanks for the info. I probably have one of those in the box of adapters I've collected over the years, so I'll take a look.

I'm going to have to hold off on the card for now. For various reasons, I have decided not to renew my existing contract and need to find another in the next few weeks. So no large purchases for a while.
