Hello from the SouthWest

Post by NathanC »

Hi, I'm Nathan -

Been wanting a QL since, well they came out, but was happy with a Spectrum 48k. I did get to see and play a little with one with a friend who was a Quanta member back in the 90s.

Well if the last year has taught me anything it's don't put things off - so trying to get a QL and see what I missed!

Computers I have: ZX48, Z88, various Macs from Motorola days onward, various PCs some running Linux.

So hi everyone!

-Nathan

Welcome to the forum. I'm also a Z88 owner...need to fire that up again one day. I've been using a QL since '89 and only recently got a ZX Spectrum 48K...it probably needs some work I would guess.

Welcome! The Z88 is a lovely machine, you connect it to the QL too :)

I'd forgotten that! I remember looking in to that back when I got the Z88 - that could be a fun project later down the road

Been some improvements in the Z88 OS as well - I have a couple of Z88's - one with a bigger supercap, 512K Flash and 512K RAM internal upgrade - a full Slot 0 :-)
