10 PRINT "Hello World"

Post by QLvsJAGUAR »

Hi all,

I've signed up some weeks ago and read one or the other post.

Born in 1968 in Switzerland I’m in the Sinclair scene since around 1984. I was an active QL software author and trader until 1991, 1995 the latest. After a break I’m back in the scene since year 2000. Collection and tinkering with Retro Computers is one of my passions.

I will visit the forum once in a while. I’m also lurking in the ql-users mailing list.

Cheers, Urs

Do you own and play on the Jaguar much? I owned one a few years back and Aliens V Predator was superb.

Much? Hmmm…
I got my Jag in 1995 when it was still supported by ATARI. I played it hours of hours until let’s say 1997. Since then it’s more about collecting/preserving it. Nowadays my kids are playing with the cat every now and then. I have it in my Retro Lab beside my office, not at home, so they can only play it when they visit me at work. At home we have a Nintendo Wii.

AvP is one of my favourite video/computer games. Here’s a video with my personal highscores:

Those are my Top 10 ever video/computer games:
1. Alien vs Predator (AvP) on ATARI JAGUAR
2. Tempest 3000 (T3K) on NUON
3. Tempest 2000 (T2K) on ATARI JAGUAR
4. TUROK on Nintedo 64 (N64)
5. DOOM on ATARI JAGUAR
6. Battle Morph on ATARI JAGUAR CD
7. Iron Soldier 3 (IS3) on NUON
8. Forsaken on Nintedo 64 (N64)
9. Raiden on ATARI JAGUAR
10. PENGI on Sinclair QL

Cheers, Urs

I liked the little inserts you clipped over the telephone pad  At the time I had AvP, Brutal Sports Football, Syndicate, Wolfenstein 3D and Doom. Also Kasumi Ninja but that was terrible! Turok was a great game, I'll never forget paying over £70 quid for it though, ouch!
