I want a composite cable with protection (zener dione perhaps) for QL

I am using a scart cable bought from Retro Computer Shack and it works great.
I think that it only has the necessary resistors, but no diodes - hard to tell what they are as they covered in heat-shrink tubing.

Years ago I tried the composite output to a TV/monitor. The result was so poor in comparison with RGB output.
But my memory is not perfect so I might be wrong... can someone else confirm this?
