Bug in QMON2 from Marcel's Web Site

Post by NormanDunbar »

Just in case anyone still uses the boot files supplied with various programs or utilities....

I downloaded the latest version of QMON2 from Marcel's web site and it hung on running the boot file. Normally I just use LRESPR qmon_bin and it works, but this one hung me up. Eventually I noticed that the boot file reserves 12,114 bytes for qmon_bin, but the file I downloaded is longer, it's 12,320 bytes.

As I said, normally, I just

Code: Select all

LRESPR win1_qmon2_qmon_bin
and it's done, but there might be someone out there who doesn't yet have Toolkit 2. ;)

Cheers,
Norm.

Speaking of misleading subject lines, have you ever been an editor for some yellow press paper in a previous life? :-D

Oh, and one day I'll upload my version, too... one of the things...

I suppose I should have mentioned the boot file somewhere. Sorry! As for "yellow press" I assume you mean a "tabloid" newspaper? Ours are usually the "Red Tops" - garbage like The Sun and its ilk, which have a red banner somewhere on the front page. And the Daily Mail which doesn't have a red top -- but don't get me started!

Anyway, no, I've never worked for nor edited any of those. Shame really, I'd have lost them loads of customers and they might have "folded" (a newspaper, folded, get it? ;-))

I'm looking forward to that.
