There were several design programs (though I am not sure how good they all were for PCB design).
- QCAD
- TechniQL
- PCB 1 & 2
- PCB CAD
- PCB Designer
- Design Board II

The only one of these still available is TechniQL (and its companion TechniKit - although I have not yet listed it). I have some of the files for the PCB1 &2 by Talent, but have not come across working versions of any of the others

That said, the most current CAD package is PCB-CAD by Malcolm Lear - see

Malcom has now changed its name to PCB Design.

But at present no way to run it, since my two QLs have no floppy interface.

Will have to solder one soon...
PCB1 is a Talent program, so far as I know.
If you have PCB 1 on disk - could you either make me a copy of the disk and send it to me by email ?

The best way is to install q-emulator, and use that to copy the QL disk onto a folder, which you can then ZIP up and email.

Yes, Talent PCB1... to be honest i don't remember what PCB2 was, but I seem to remember using both.
Actually, it was a rather usable program, a friend of mine did some hardware for his BSC. thesis with it.
It was a very simple cell-based PCB design program but it had some slever options I would gladly see on today's modern software. I remember I used to trick it into doing 2-sided boards by single-routing first one side as one board, then the other side as another board :)
