QL Technical Review

Post by RichardCGH »

I notice someone is selling issues 1-8 of QLTR on eBay for £30
If anyone here buys them feel free to scan them in and add them to Dilwyn's website.

Yep.

They arrived today.
In pristine condition.

It'll be fun reading them this time round.

I'll start scanning once I have tidied up my mother's estate.

Hi,

I scanned the QLTR PDFs, I have setup a PC and scanner, so can continue with the scanning, if required.

Hi

I scanned QL Techinical Review vol 3- 5, to image PDF files.

Issues 6 - 8 scanned tomorrow.

Just got to OCR and produce a proper searchable PDF with Libre Office.

This might take some time.

Derek

I have scanned all issues of QL Technical Review (issuse 2-8)

I have OCRed all scanned copies with Linux: ocrmypdf, which uses Tesseract ocr, which has made a really good job.

I loaded the OCR text into LibreOffice and have formatted the text into a copy of the original magazine, so that the resustant PDF is searchable with the correct unlike Issue 1 & 2 done with Windows and Adobe Actrobat rubbish, which I have revisit.

Issues 3,4 complete.

Regards,

Derek
