I'm with Derek. I try to stay away from floppies as far as possible. I'll only use them as last resort when I can't get files transferred otherways. My GC QL has made a quantum leap in usability (sic) with QLSD and Wolfgang's new drivers.

An 8TB NAS on your QL? How did you connect them? How did you partition the NAS?

Inquiring minds want to know!

I'll bet Derek has a RAID-style array of QLs all with 2 x 100K microdrives to make up the 8TB NAS. Now how many microdrive cartridges is that? Probably more than the total number of QLs ever made!!!

Hmm, am I the odd one out, having a uncased QL board connected to a CF card (mind, a bare keyboard matrix is a pain to use). And an Aurora with an QLSD. Also currently not in a case... (using a PC keyboard).

:!: Standby alert :!:
“There are four lights!”
Step up to red alert. Sir, are you absolutely sure? It does mean changing the bulb :!:
Looking forward to summer in Somerset later in the year :)

QL, Falcon, Atari 520STFM, Atari 1040STE, more PC's than I care to count and an assortment of 8 bit micros (Sinclair and Acorn)(nearly forgot the Psion's)

Aren't we all the 'odd one out' by the very fact that we love the QL? I've rather prided myself on that identity!

I did not say 8 Tb Raid on a QL.
