Testing some problems on Saving dumps on sub-dirs with one of our dumping programs I see that something going wrong on the Hard Drive.

Rebooted I see that the Data used are the same but the ROOT/SECTOR 0 data were lost: I can't make a DIR and view the correct listing of files that I see on every use.

Before format it can someone tell me If I can recover my data using some utilities like Media Manager or other stuff?

Very thanks to all.

Best regards.

Evening Simon,

I don't suppose that you can read sector 0 from the hard disc with direct sector access? There might be something "obvious" if you can. Just a thought.

The hard disc format is on my wiki at http://qdosmsq.dunbar-it.co.uk/doku.php ... sq:fs:qlwa if it is of any help.

Good luck.

Cheers,
Norm.

Thanks.

Well I really don't know how to read it and modify it.

The Sector 0: I can control my QUBIDE one at Office If some can show me how to read it, but at home I need to edit the WINNY ONE and modify IT if necessary and I don't know How to do it :-(

Hi,

The Explorer by Chris Fowler is at:

http://www.dilwyn.me.uk/files/Explorer_v1_91d.zip

The pgrogramme is compiled Qliberated Superbasic, one version with runtimes included.

Which is supposed to read the Miracle Hard Drive, but I have never used it.
