Wiring pin out for top lid

Post by Haemogoblin »

Because my QL has been acting up, I took the lid off. Luckily, I don't have a normal keyboard, so there was no risk of the membrane cracking up. However the joints on the IDE like cable that links the keyboard to the main board is going to need a resolder.

But now to the point of my post, some Of the wires from the top lid are loose. I don't know how it is on other QLs, but I have a connector behind and to the left of MDV1. The wires are just shoved in to the holes. So I could really do with some sort of pin out for this connector. Such as which pin is the drive light for mdv1, mdv2 etc. I'm planning on soldering some sort of header or at the very least some pins to these wires, so they don't just fall out when the lid is removed.

Thanks for posting that link Rich

The QL is now up and running again, keyboard fixed and all LEDs in working order!

I'm going to hold off replacing the regulators until I have the right ones or can confirm what I have will do the job.
