Re: QPC1 - FREE?
You would need to contact the author Marcel Kilgus directly, as I don't think he is on the forums...
Whether QPC1 still exists, I don't know...

QPC1 is downloadable from http://www.kilgus.net/qpc/downloads.html (the link is at the bottom of that page)mhanias wrote:Is there any possibility QPC1 be free for older machines, as QPC2 is?
No idea if this is a demo version or a full free version of QPC1 for DOS systems, though.

Re: QPC1 - FREE?
Hi,
The last I remember Marcel saying he was not developing QPC1 any further.
I have a couple of old P3 laptops that are too slow for Windows XP, so I have installed them with DOS and QPC1.
QPC1 is a standard QL with 4 or 8 colours depending on the Screen mode. There is no DOS device, but connecting the serial ports via Sernet, allows faster networking than the QL Network.
I used to use QPC1 as a Sernet Fileserver on a old P1 PC.
Maybe I will take them to the Quanta AGI for exhibit / sale.

Re: QPC1 - FREE?
I have a couple of old P3 Laptops, that are too slow to run Windows XP/7, but with MSDOS and QPC1 would a nice portable system.
I will bring these laptops to the Quanta AGM to be sold for £5 each.
I have other faster Laptops that can run QPC2 available for rock bottom prices.
