I am having trouble running QL2K on my laptop running Windows 7, either 32 ro 64 bit version, it does the same thing, I get the configuration window, hit OK up comes a DOS style window with text on it (too quick) before disappearing and then nothing.

Try the same thing in administrator mode and everything is hunky dory, its got me stumped. :(

It works for me in Windows 7 (64 bit)

I have version : 0.1 Build 0.96a ( Alpha ), which includes a file QL2K-x64.exe
