Hi,
Try looking at the QL Homepage for documentation for the Pointer Interface:

Re: tetroid interface and system environment pointer
I remember the hardest thing I found when my TDI was new was where the Start Menu came from and how to configure it! Had no idea that it was Qascade that makes the Start menu and nothing to do with QPAC1/2... I know the boot file gives lots of clues, if you know how. But there is much learning.
So do read up on the PE etc, but for starters, all the things in the 'Start' menu are structured/defined in a file called qascade_rc.

Re: tetroid interface and system environment pointer
HI,
There is a help file that accompanies Qascade, which details the creation of the menu and the way a custom menu can be used.
Qascade is a PE or to give the correct name Extended Environment application that uses a pointer to select application detailed in the QASCADE_RC file or custom menu specified in the startup command line.
