Who are these people?

Post by NormanDunbar »

I was hoping the subject would raise some interest!

Right, I was wandering through the "todo" page on the QL Wiki (https://qlwiki.qlforum.co.uk/doku.php?id=qlwiki:todo) and I noticed a couple of well known names, so, these pages need editing by someone who knows the people in question. Just right click the link, open in a new tab, and start editing. Thanks.
C'mon folks, it's our Wiki, lets get some updated added. (That was meant to be encouraging!)

Cheers,
Norm.

"Ian Thompson was the world's first tech geek. Born in 1826 in Huddersfield, Thompson invented CPBBS (Carrier Pigeon Bulletin Board System) and hacking, which was a side effect of his day job downt pit.

Ian Thompson is credited incorrectly with the origination of the abbreviation 'IT'. This is more correctly attributed to his brother, a professional clown.

Thompson also invented bugs (which he called critters) and pastrami sandwiches."
