And the link to the page on the wiki is

Theres another wiki page, under s for scrabble, as opposed to c for vompter scrabble, but it's a blank page which I'd happily fill in, but it would only be a duplicate.
Anyway, I'm not in the competition, so please don't include me, thanks. It's not that I don't want to win, but someone more worthy should get the prize. I don't tend to buy much software.
Cheers,
Norm.
Ah true - I have deleted the reference to 'scrabble' on its own.
I was just disappointed that this does not work in any of the emulators - you press one key and it reads it multiple times, so impossible to type the word you want to use.
It was also a shame that Leisure Genius never converted any of the other games to the QL - such as Monopoly.

Morning Rich,
I was disappointed when I got a Miracle hard drive and Scrabble no longer worked! It wouldn't load from win1_ and just hung the QL. I think it was down to how much memory the hard drive borrowed, but I never got to the bottom of it. I had to disconnect the win and use floppies to play the game.
Cheers,
Norm.

Knight Flight
Good music. Beautiful because it is for 2 players.
In its simplicity it allows you to play longer.

I was (and still am) deeply impressed by Matchpoint
http://www.rwapadventures.com/ql_wiki/i ... ch%20Point. I thought the Spectrum version was great, but on the QL it´s so much better.
Beside from that, the 3D graphics of Psion Chess
http://www.rwapadventures.com/ql_wiki/i ... ss&lang=en had the same "WOW-effect" on me like Juggler had on the Amiga a few years later.

I agreee - Matchpoint on the QL was much better than on the Spectrum, but I always preferred to play adventures.
From a pure graphics point of view - the ones which really impressed me were:
International Cricket by Nigel Holder and Squidgy Round the World by Michael Crowe - both available from
http://www.dilwyn.me.uk/games/index.html
I also loved the cartoon like graphics in Sam the Little Spaceman - even if I had to do quite a few changes to get the program working on my QL - just a shame I appear to have lost it over the years -

My all time favourite QL game was Psion Chess.
Its graphics were superb for its time. It did emerge for DOS systems too
http://www.dilwyn.me.uk/games/3DCHESS.zip. (Anyone managed to get this to work on 64-bit Windows yet?)
It's the one QL game I kept going back to over the years more than any other (not being much of a game player), and it was always cited in magazines as *the* QL game.

I have many QL games in my heart, QL Chess, Matchpoint, Pengi, Karate, Deathstrike... as well as adventures like Zkull and West. It is really difficult to tell which is the best as everyone had great ideas behind and most of them were exploiting 150% of QL capabilities, graphics and sound.
Should I say just a name however I would also vote for Wanderer as at that time was really something completely different from the rest. The 3D features and also the logic behind the game were both a great challange and lot of fun
Here is the link to QL WIki:

QL Chess really was exceptional because it used resolution - that the QL did have beyond the standard - rather than colour - that the QL didn't really have much to write home about - to create impressive graphics. That's why it still looks good today (unfortunately, I'm not much of a chess player, so I tend to lose even at the easiest setting which somehow limited the fun I had with that program).
The other game I always liked was Jungle Eddy, that really used the QL's limited colour set by choice of a jungle theme that could use the limited set of 8 colours to create a credible back plot.

Mine would have to be Knight Flight. (
http://www.rwapadventures.com/ql_wiki/i ... t%20Flight)
An excellent conversion of the Arcade game Joust (
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Joust_(video_game)).
I first played it back in 1986 & still enjoy a quick game of it every now and again even though there are multiple versions of this game on more modern hardware it is the QL version or Skirmish on the BBC/Electron that I get most enjoyment form.
