The winter has returned, as has the QL

Post by vanpeebles »

Now that the winter is here again (for most of us) and QL's get fired back into action everywhere. What will you be up to on your QL this winter? :)

Hopefully I'll be getting a proper coding start on my ACT adventure, and possibly do some game reviews :)

I am going to revisit my zombie chase game (in the 80s style). I accept it'll never play on a BBQL, but any Gold Card or greater system will be fine.

I also plan to finally bite the bullet and learn how to use Turbo. I've got everything I needed three times then just got overwhelmed by the instructions. They're 100% written from the POV of someone who already knows what they're doing.

I don't know what I'm doing ;)

I 'll try to write a program to control my little trains! :D
Now that I've a Gold Card and I've learned something about Turbo compiler I want to control my mini railroad with BBQL via Ser port.
I think that there isn't nobody that has written something about railroad and trains model isn't it?

Its nearing the end of stage one of decorating new home, so two things of immediate interest is to finish a game I wrote in 1986 and getting it working on an emulator, the second is look at a possible Dummies Guide to Using Turbo, a precursor to actually using the manual. I may do others as well. However I am stuck on a catchy title that doesn't infringe on copyright obviously. The best I can come up with is "The Laughable Shepard's Guide to Turbo". Any ideas anyone?

I though the title of the game was going to be "The Laughable Shepard's Guide to Turbo"
