Re: Programming a second hand piece of cheese
On q-emulator (at least) there are some oddities (blank pixels) around 20 seconds. You cheated on the FILL command - you used just the first 30 seconds.... How about showing it for a minute? Ok Disbelief at first, as I had this working correctly on my set up, so he are the responses. 1: You c...

Re: Programming a second hand piece of cheese
Well I have finished it and it works quite well in both modes with the standard Fill command as seen below. 003.png Many thanks for the help guys, the final code is here feel free to use it in your own programs. You will need to adjust the speed by changing the pause statement in the for/end for loo...

Re: Programming a second hand piece of cheese
WIthout a proper machine code paint routine having a complete circle that reduces is not easy (FILL won't work on certain shapes) - but if you run the routine once to draw the seconds on screen and then allow them to be removed on the next pass, that will give a good indication of time reducing... ...

Re: Programming a second hand piece of cheese
So I found a basic routine that I have adapted to SuperBASIC and after much tinkering I have got this to work after a fashion as a clock with seconds minutes and hours displaying correctly. However all the pointers start at a quater past (3 o'clock) and I believe it is something to rotation starting...

Programming a second hand piece of cheese
Yeh, I know the title is a little misleading, but what I want to do in the QL is similar to the countdown clock when you have 30 seconds to make the longest word from 9 characters. A bit like this below but without the red arrow. http://www.online-stopwatch.com/images/countdown-clock.gif So if anyon...

Re: QL Software Preservation - Next Steps
Interestingly this was posted on WOS regarding their forum Hi Lee. I found this discussion thread because it was linked to on reddit. If you're looking for an alternative then I suggest /r/zxspectrum. Link: https://www.reddit.com/r/zxspectrum I am a moderator of the subreddit and since reddit commu...

Re: QL Software Preservation - Next Steps
Just some ramblings from me Rich, is it "Nick and his cronies" from WOS that also attack you or others, I don't know who these are? Either way its a sad state of affairs. I cannot comprehend why people do this at a technical level as 'Retro' is only a name and not related to a fixed point ...

Just a quick question(ish)
Happy New Year to one and all, I hope you have time for QL'ing I have an SMSQ/e question based around QemuLator and it maybe relevant to QPC2 and SMSQemulator too but I haven't got around to checking that yet. So in QemuLator I set the video card emulation to Q60 and load in the SMSQ code with LRESP...
