Re: Q68 direct sector access
Hi Derek, that seems rather OTT. Use my routine instead of recreating the WIN drive any time you wish to alter the name. As you say, on Q68 you get to specify a sensible name when you format the disk, however, there is no (easy) way to change that name once its set - for now. Just trying to use exi...

Re: QL Pico VGA
I was going to use the Conec 16-001810E, which looks really good, but in low numbers is expensive. Compared to previous converters, it is still very cost effective. Hi Peter, Yes the PicoVGA adapter is the best version, really well designed. I have 20 PCBs, so will get them built. At present I am u...

Re: Qzero performance update
Hi Peter,
Can Ethernet be added to QLbase, as QLbase, is an excellent addition to the Qzero.
I may try and design a custom enclosure for Qzero and QLbase, rather than use a QL Case.

Re: Q68 direct sector access
Hi, I use QLWarz ( nowi who wrote that...) to renamd the QWA volume name. I have to use QPC2 to perform the renaming. But the best way is to use the method that Martyn uses, and put the correct name of QWA when creating it, which can be done in the Q68. I copy files to the Q68 with Martin Head's exc...

Re: QL Pico VGA
Hi,
I have some PCBs to build, just received some RP240-Zero.
I was going to use the Conec 16-001810E, which looks really good, but in low numbers is expensive.
Maybe a 3D printed enclosure would be a possible solution.

Re: QLTerminal v2.35 with TheOldNet WiFi v4
Hi, It seems the QLTERM does not work in way I suggested, it sets the QL serial port speed to the same speed as the modem connect speed. The QLTerm manual says that the QL Baud Rate can be set in the terminal preferences, by pressing I So set the QL Baud Rate to 9600, Modem type buffered, serial por...
Re: PiStorm
Hi, Another solution would be to connect the Raspberry Pi to the QL data bus, so that the Raspberry Pi could be a co-processor to the QL. The main problem, is writing the device drivers, on the QL and maybe bare metal code on the Pi. Sort of like the BBC Tube interfacd for the QL, which maybe as rea...

Re: Floppy problemsve.
Hi,
Maybe there is problems with the floppy disk cable connecting to the QL, if it is gge wrong way around, all the data lies lines will be grounded. Usually the Disk Drive LEDs are both on.
Check that the drives are correctly connected in the floopy disk case.

Re: QLTerminal v2.35 with TheOldNet WiFi v4
Hi, I think you're all getting the Serial port Baud rate confused with the Modem connect speed The serial port on the QL, usually SER2, should have it's Baud rate set to the highest reliable speed. Which could be 9600 Baud, using the BAUD command: BAUD 2,9600 This sets the data speed from computer t...
