Re: ICL OPD
Oh, OK.I wonder why my system runs without that signal being high. Everything runs except the SRAM. Bad MOSFET maybe?

Re: ICL OPD
But the "shutdown" pin doesn't go anywhere other than to one transistor which controls the SRAM. I can't find it going anywhere else. You'd have thought it would have kept the machine from powering up at all until it was high, but it doesn't.

Re: ICL OPD
I've been having issues with my OPD not starting up and giving the 5 bar error, which according to this document is "SRAM fault" OPD-Boot-Diagnostics.jpg This morning I traced the issue to /CE1 never going low. Chased the line way over to the left of the board to a transistor which inverte...

Re: ICL OPD / Merlin Tonto Issues
Looks like 6 bars is DRAM and not SRAM fault from that document.

Re: vDrive: With MDV sound? I wonder.
I recorded it on my iPhone then converted that to a WAV file, then transcoded to 8 bit samples and a low sample rate. I've forgotten what I used now. You can then just convert each byte to a hex number to insert into a C array.

Re: OPD: Computer One floppy interface recreation.
Not yet. Someone is going to send the ROM to RWAP who's going to image it and then send me the image.

Re: OPD: Computer One floppy interface recreation.
So as to do a bit more of a test of the ROM socket I desoldered the ROM in the VT-Link cartridge. The pins had been cropped really short so they wouldn't connect into the EPROM programmer ZIF socket. Thankfully I had a dual-wipe socket handy so pushed the EPROM into that and then it read fine. With ...

Re: Breaking news: The QIMSI Interface
I'm afraid to do that it'd probably have to be re-engineered from the ground up. The shape of the PCB doesn't help as it goes into the ROM port leaving very little room either side, which is why it pokes out through the case either side.

Re: QL/E - The QL Environment (QLE)
With regards to the QIMSI, it requires the mouse driver to be installed after the Pointer Environment has been initialised. I can't see in the documentation how you add an automatic LRESPR of a driver at boot time rather than manually opening a SuperBASIC prompt and typing the commands in. Is there ...
