I get updates from the Forum by RSS Feed.
So I maybe semi-inactive.

Re: How to feed parameters to unzip.....
Hi, Why not just type: EX unzip or EX unzip;'-h' will bring up the help screen. If you want to redirect the ouput of the screen to a specific channel, say SCR_ (#1) EX unzip,#1;'-h' Will redirect the UNZIP dialog windows to channel #1 or you could open the channel to a file and capture the scree oup...

Re: SMSQ/E for the QL?
Hi, The part about the CPU was a question, but the second part about the integrated Extended Environment (EE) was a statement. The EE can not be removed from SMSQ/E, which means that softwre that can not run has no real hope of function under SMS/E. Unless there is a compatiability mode. Which to my...

Re: SMSQ/E for the QL?
Hi Nasta, If a 68040/060 CPU were put into the QL, would this cause any problems with the current hardware. With regards to SMSQ\E for a standard QL, I would vote to use Minerva, as it does not have the PTR\WMAN\HOTKEY system pre-loaded and more developement of a WIMP system could be performed witho...

Re: QL Wishlist for 2014
Hi, I did have a look at the SQLite3 source code, a wulie back. SQLite3 uses Unicode in its compilation. I was pondering over, does the QL system needs Unicode. I do not think there is a Unicode Library for C68, so maybe porting SQLite without Unicode would be OK. This as a while back, I was overtak...

Re: QL Commercial Software Preservation
Hi,
I did ask about the code to this demo, but no one wanted to even talk about it.
Probably best to convert the 6502 source code to 68K.

Re: QL Commercial Software Preservation
Hi,
I was looking at the 6502 code for Elite, with the view to write a Qmac macro library to assemble 6502 op code into 68K.
Probably a hard job... but would dissaembley of the Spectrum Elite Z80 code be easier to implement on the QL.

Re: QPC2 v4.00
Hi, QPC2 is the best QL emulator, it runs under Windows and Linux/Wine... and sometime beer! But although this maybe the last version, the system can be extended by developing applications that are badly missing on the QL platform. I have finished woking now, due to company reorganisation and early ...

Re: Seen on eBay
I used to have a 40Mb Miracle Hard Drive similiar to this one on Ebay. The hard drive plugs into the QL Rom Socket and provides an extension Rom socket on top of the Hard Drive case. There is an rom in the hard drive unit that boots the system up from the internal hard drive unit. Well actually it i...
