Re: RasPiQL
That was certainly the motivation for making sQLux work on linux framebuffer. I just haven't made a cutdown distro to launch it yet! For the future though would need something that could run SMSq/e! Hmmm... how about emulating a Q68 for that purpose? In a first attempt, you could try enlarging RAM ...

Re: QDOS PE FileInfo II
Hi, Since you are using Minerva, why use multibasic. To launch from Superbasic interpreter, I use EX pipep:;"program_bas>" which sends the Superbasic program to a ready only pipe, which loads a Multibasic interpreter, only channel #0 open, so all channels 1-2 have to opened explicitly. Fil...

Re: Want: QL-SD drive
Hi I asked if I could build the QLSD v2, but was politely refused. Quite a revisionist statement. I wrote, literally "well, if you want we can talk about that, sure. But the problem with the current QL-SD is that there is much manual labor involved." and then a long text of what must be d...

Re: RasPiQL
Exile, XorA, Derek, .. I presume you put the whole system on the SSD and boot off that? Could you give a quick step-by-step overview of how you do that? One day soon, M$ are going to stop supporting W10; my desktop machine is not W11-compatible. This might be a good time for a serious paradigm shif...

Hi

So I would have make the QLSD v1, maybe with a dual SD Card reader.

Re: RasPiQL
Hi What sort of SSD do you use. I use 120GB 2.5" SSDs. I think the last one I bought was a Gigabyte one (currently £14.99 on Amazon). The Pi4 is quite picky on the SATA to USB3 adaptor chips that it supports, so I buy those cables from either Pimoroni or Pihut, to make sure they are compatible...

Sorry, I meant Bullseye...XorA wrote:I have a GeeekPi USB->SATA case for Pi4 and a SATA SSD inside.
Also get rid of Buster distro and move to the Bullseye one. The new GFX stack makes a huge difference in desktop usability!
