Re: Jurgen Falkenberg Keyboard Interfaces

Ok, no problem since I'm in the UK. I don't want to be a hog, I would like two but I don't want to seem greedy. I'll take one and a second only if there's no interest. Please give me a shipping quote with and without the keyboard and I'll get back to you after I've checked in the garage, as I can't ...

Re: Jurgen Falkenberg Keyboard Interfaces

I'd be interested in what's left, be it one or two.
Let me know of details, please.

Re: Sinclair QL Floppy Disk Interfaces

Again, selective answers, dear sir. Point one: why would the parts for a Gold Card cost £100? If people can get Altera CPLDs (or whatever else) and make PlusDs and DivIDEs and IF1bis' and all sorts of devices and sell them for less than £50... The actual cost of parts for a Gold Card, in my estimate...

Re: Sinclair QL Floppy Disk Interfaces

{blah blah blah} So did I buy the Trump Cards just to sell on ? No actually - I needed one to borrow to find out where my recent disk problems lay... So you thought you'd buy BOTH of them and two hours later make a £65 (at least) profit... Hmmm... yes, that makes sense... As for the Super Gold Card...

Re: Sinclair QL Floppy Disk Interfaces

I think Mark said it all. I agree 100% to most of his points, which are mine also. I have no personal opinion about AmiBay. If I see something I like and get there first, I take it. However, the prices (hardware) there are very reasonable, most of the times. I would obviously like to get things at a...

Re: Sinclair QL Floppy Disk Interfaces

High prices for rare/sought after items is just a fact of any hobby not just the QL. The time since those expensive add-ons were made and now has not seen any significant developments in new hardware for storage etc. I still have a list of bits I'd love to get but they are like hen's teeth and when...

Re: Sinclair QL Floppy Disk Interfaces

You're talking about two entirely different things here. Or three, depending on how you count. I will answer to all points. 1. Investing in new hardware. Of course, I wholeheartedly support your efforts and those of original hardware developers. Obviously, the price *should* (and I cannot stress the...

Re: Sinclair QL Floppy Disk Interfaces

I do apologise, but you're provoking me... So, the fact that the two Trump Cards were for sale on ... another forum which shall remain nameless, and he went behind the scenes, against the forum rules, got them both and is now selling them, only 2 days later... is fair to you? [for the record, he got...

Re: RAM problem on faulty QL

Just some thoughts... With a Gold Card, the 68008 is not used. The CPU on the Gold Card runs the system. Yes, I know, but since the 68k8 is verified working, that's not an issue. The CPU copies the data from the ROMs to the Gold Card RAM and then all normal memory reads and writes by the CPU use th...
