Re: Writing Gotek QL Image Disks

Hi, I clone the Git Hub file and compiled it under Linux Mint 19.3, compiled first time, and works really well. I tried creating Floppy Disk images of varying densities: DD,HD, ED which all are usuable on all emulators: QPC2, SMSQmualtor, Q-emulator and Q68 with FDI. I have not tried the FLP images ...

Re: The QL's original competition (business market)

Hi, I used an Apricot F1 ata Technical College in 1985, with a CAD programme on a HNC in Mechanical Engineering cource I did at that time. It ran MSDOS, I can not remember the CAD programme name, but the course leader, seemed to like it. Not quit a QL, but the only advantage for me was the hard driv...

Re: Writing Gotek QL Image Disks

Hi, I tend to use a QL emulator QPC2 or SMSQmulator and use FDI for floppy disk images and MDI for MIcrodrive images, by Martin Head. The FDI floppy disk images are fairly standard and be used all on QL emulators, or other QL hardware with FDI installed. The scripting part of the Floppy DIsk images ...

Re: QL User Guide new scan

I've done a huge amount of cleaning up already. The source scan was 30Gig in size. The archive.org did an automatic OCR on it already which is not bad. Hi, Sorry, I downloaded the PDF version without the text layer. I tend to convert all the QL manual I need to read, which is probably all of them, ...

Re: QL User Guide new scan

Hi,

The sxan file is very nicely scanned, just needs a little cleaning up and OCRed correctly. I have some nice OCR.software that can do the work.

Hi,

Have a look at the QDOS Technical Manual:
http://www.dilwyn.me.uk/docs/manuals/qltm.pdf

or

SMSQ/E Reference Manual:
http://www.dilwyn.me.uk/docs/manuals/QD ... 20v4.5.pdf

give details for QDOS and SMSQ/E operating systems.

Re: 68020 compatible Q68?

Hi,

There seems to be no software that can take advantage the 68020 codes.

How many application programmes can use the 68020 CPU?

I can only think of GWASS.

Is anyone writing 68020 compatible software?

Re: Maziacs / Bugziacs Conversion for QL

Hi, The link to the web page about Z80 to M68K makes interesting reading. Years ago I started writing a set of macros for QMAC assembler to define Z80 and 6502 mneumontics. The idea was to take a Z80 assembley language source file and include the Z80-M68K macros, which would allow the QMAC assembler...
