Address register usage
Hi All, It's stupid question time, again! I'm doing some assembler programming and wonder what the 'normal' usage of address registers A4, A5 & A6 are. Can I use these with impunity? Will the civilisation as we know it collapse? OK, maybe not quite that bad but are there problems or effects that...

Re: Q68 I2C addresses.
The Q68 manual is correct regarding i2C addresses. Note that the clock register is output only, nothing you can read there. Peter, Thank you for this. Now I need to check the actual pins and their levels, but I would have needed to do that anyway. If the CLK ($1C1C0) is un readable, how do you chec...

Re: Q68 I2C addresses.
Derek, Currently I am using SuperBasic PEEK & POKE to control the IO ports. I intend to bitbilt the ports to drive the Q68s I2C pins directly. The pins themselves will drive a level changer to the desired voltage for the external device. The coding is being done in assembler and C. There are no ...

Re: Q68 I2C addresses.
Derek, Thanks for the reply. I have also examined the Q68 manual and that section. However While I can control $1C1C4, i.e. set it to 1 and read back a 1, then set it to 0 and read back a 0, I cannot set / reset $1C1C0. It remains a 0 no mater what I do. So I was wondering if the manual was in error...

Q68 I2C addresses.
Hi All,
Please could someone confirm for me the memory addresses for the I2C clock and I2C data lines.
I seem to be able to control $1C1C4 & $1C1C6 but not $1C1C0.
Thanks,
Whopper

Re: Mirical Systems Gold card for sale
It's for sale for more than 3 months and it's been relisted 4 times. It is "untested" . If I remember correctly it started at 200 and previously the seller also sold a QL so he could have tested it, if the QL was in working order. Andrew, Perhaps a low offer might be made. I already have ...

Re: The Sinclair QL Series
Norman, Thank you for your links. I found two books that I don't have 'Profiting from the Sinclair QL' & 'Introduction to Superbasic on the Sinclair QL' I was able to order both. One seller was offering the Intro to Superbasic for £113.16 (plus P&P) a bit steep for me. Sometimes I wish I'd d...
