Re: Hot to unprotect & backup microdrive cartridge software
Copy protection can be a problem on a lot of programs :( I wonder if a specialist microdrive copying program would work? You really need a floppy drive on your QL though :) Exactly what i am looking for! A specialist microdrive copying program. I know it is really difficult but is there a chance to...

Re: Missing issue of QL World magazine
Here they are sorted into year piles. I don't like the way the later issues have no date and are vol/issue. http://www.zen70509.zen.co.uk/ql/mags3.jpg Can anyone tell me what is going on with these two? They both have the same numbers but one is still sealed so I don't want to open it. http://www.z...

Re: Tonights Job - Super Hermes Installation
Yes of course, if you put the necessary lines in a boot file (or use the supplied SuperHermes disk), but it is easy to forget to put the disk in the drive every time you reset the QL !vanpeebles wrote:Would it autoboot the driver from a floppy?

Re: Tonights Job - Super Hermes Installation
Yes, of course - the main issue you have is that SuperHermes needs to load in its drivers from disk before the keyboard will be fully operational (it has a small buffer to hold the initial F1/F2 key press, but after that, without the driver you are stuck!) That was the beauty of the RomDiSQ as you w...

Well Tim, if you fancy a go, then the best person to speak to is Tony Firshman - I have tried asking Stuart McKnight a couple of things about the SGC lately, but he has not kept any notes! I can;'t remember who built the units for Quanta. Dave may also have some details... So far as I recall, the is...

I don;t mind which BASIC, so long as it works and can be compiled into a distributable program. (PM sent)

Windows BASIC programming skills Required
Does anyone have experience of writing short BASIC programs to run on Windows (not in an emulator).
It is for a small project I am working on (QL related), but we need a Windows front-end.....

I have quite a few spare ROMs from various interfaces - I will dig them out and see - I have at least a v1.24 MicroP ROM chip here

Re: (Newbie) Aurora / Gold Card
(Newbie Alert!) Bought a Aurora card from Rich recently, as I was thinking about putting the QL in a PC box. Bought a Gold Card of Rich earlier in the year, so I thought I'd be sorted. Reading the Aurora manual the evening before putting the components together, it said that Gold Card's with yellow...

Re: Special Lightning ROM 2.11
I just dug out a copy of Lightning, so yes, I can supply it. However, this has perplexed me somewhat.... I have Lightning and Lightning SE from the Digital Precision Collection. Lightning (lng_text_ext) is v1.11 and Lightning SE (lng_text_ext) is v2.14 However I also have a disk for each... The disk...
