Re: Q68 Order Process

Are the long lead times due to the semiconductor crisis taken into account?
For example, I can not find the FPGA used on the Q68 available before November this year.
If parts are not in stock, people need a realistic estimation of lead times, so they can make an informed decision.

Re: Is SBASIC programming on SMSQE difficult?

The purpose of this timer is to provide much higher granularity than 50 Hz. It is mainly intended for hardware drivers. A famous example is Martyn's QL network driver. Since it runs at CPU clock speed, also handy to measure execution timings. Of course you can also use it for precise time measuremen...

Re: USB Keyboard IF

Impressive. I would be far more interested in a QL matrix to PS/2 converter though ;)

Re: Q68 QoE Ethernet Driver

If you think about name change, I would reconsider "QoE". It stood for "QLNET over ethernet" as the original idea was to primitively send QL network packets over ethernet. This is long obsolete as it has become a TCPI/IP stack plus ethernet driver.

Re: Help needed :-)

For an original QL, I don't see much sense in Qubide anymore, if you can get hands on a QL-SD. QL-SD is smaller, just as fast, and already includes the EPROM adaptor for Minerva. And media can be hot swapped safely, thanks to a separate voltage regulator on the card socket board. I think, a decent o...

Re: Q68 Order Process

Derek, I would recommend to check parts availability first. About one year lead time for semiconductors has become normal in this crisis.

Re: Q-emulator on PPC Mac and OS X 10.5?

Yes, that is obvious. But there is no downgrade to 10.4 and otherwise I would need to emulate a whole 68K Mac. In addition to being very uncomfortable, I don't have a 68K MacOS.
