Re: SCREEN1 = SYSVAR @ JSROM

If you can define a shape as a blob, theres an inbuilt routine to fill it with any colour or texture, in any mode. I dont know what limitations the routine has re size, memory or efficiency, but it might be worth investigating. May be of interest - Silvester on here wrote a piece of code for SMSQ/E...

Re: Q-dock

Q-dock is a great program. I got it with the Q68. And yes here is the "but" has anyone else noticed that with a job name of only 2 characters i.e "QD" the Q-dock launcher moves the pointer to the right insead of launching QD. Make the job name "QD+" and everything work...

Re: Cursor Sprites

Hi Dilwyn, I tried your Caps programme on the Q68 and SMSQ/E v3.34, worked really well. Just had to execute the SBAIC programme, pressing the CAPS Lock changed the cutsor to a flashing Red C Also the sprite collection to be used with the CURSPRLOAD command worked great on the Q68. Re: Announcing availability of a QLNET driver for the Q68 (ND-Q68)

On this Father's Day (in the UK, anyway), I am pleased to announce the availability of driver software that allows you to finally network the Q68 with other QL-compatible machines via the standard QLNET ports. The ready-to-run driver as well as the source code are attached below and I'll call upon ...

Re: ICL OPD

Not sure if this is considered a compatible, but it does share some common hardware components. Acquired a motherboard and processor board for this recently - does anyone have a service manual or circuit diagrams for this beasty? Or perhaps have any details for the pin outs for the ROM card at the ...

Re: Warlock of Firetop Mountain

I had a quick look - at least LOC_078 is missing as a procedure in both copies. and LOC_999 is missing in both copies - this should be the ending procedure, when you die. Would be nice if someone with an interest in and knowledge of adventures tried to complete the game by adding suitable routines ...

Re: Warlock of Firetop Mountain

If you do not know how to look at MDV files, I have created a ZIP file see attached. Lost in a cave ...? ;) The zip file has ended up in Wales, let me see if I can shove it back through Ralf's cave and into QL Forum... Actually, it looks to be well indented and fairly easy to read, althou...

Re: Symmetric multiprocessing...

What might people do with something loosely based on those types of ideas? Personally, I can't think of anything I could do with this sort of setup. But then again, I could never see that email would catch on, nor did I think that selling pizzas on the High Streets of the UK was a great idea. It's ...
