Re: SDHC adaptors...
I was asking about dual SD card slots because I imagine it will always be desirable to duplicate SD cards. They are 99% reliable, but not 100%.

Re: Solved: QL psu cord
If you're building a whole new PSU, things get interesting. The QL on-board power regulation was never the best, but it's now approaching 30 years old. You can safely feed >13.5v DC into the 15.6v AC line and it will work just fine. As soon as it hits the bridge rectifier inside, it's all the same.

Re: SDHC adaptors...
I am enthused by your progress. Your EPROM contains Minerva and the SDHC driver. It invalidates the ROM port. Does the EPROM contain TK2 also? If not, can you include TK2 so people can load it? I think most people would be lost without TK2. Also, the interface provides support for one SDHC card, as ...

SDHC adaptors...
Are any of the people manufacturing the new SDHC adaptors on this forum? I know Peter Graf has someone making some in the EU, but I don't recall who. There's also another effort. Who's doing what? It would be good if y'all communicated with each other so we could have a moderately compatible pair of...

Re: Seen on eBay
I'm not saying they should be cheap. I'm saying when we bid against each other we all lose out - if a person is interested in an auction, it seems to be against their interests to post it here. So either don't, or if someone does, it needs to be stated if they have an interest in the auction. You go...

Re: Seen on eBay
What happens when eBay ads get posted is that the prices get stupidly hyper-inflated as we compete amongst ourselves. I propose the forum owners ban repeating links to eBay ads. Either that or, when a person posts there's an eBay ad here, as a politeness they have dibs on bidding for it. If they giv...

As I draw closer, I realize he is saying "too much levity, boy!"
That said, my interest in working on the Quanta committee is serious and sustained.

Re: QL Interface ROMs for Preservation
I'll do it happily, if nobody else offers. My location isn't really ideal, but postage costs from here are very reasonable.

Re: Homebrew QL kits for DIY QL builders !
I'm looking for quantities of:
68EC020 SMD variant at sensible prices. Interested in any speed.
512k SRAMs. What is their part number and organization?
27512 EPROMs, 27256 EPROMs, or their SMD flash equivalents (5v tolerant).
WD1770 or WD1772 floppy controllers.

Re: Homebrew QL kits for DIY QL builders !
These packages have been sold for a long time on eBay, etc. Nobody has built a QL with them, because the CPLD is blank and doesn't reproduce *any* of the functionality of the custom chips inside the QL. If you have a CPLD that reproduces the custom logic of the QL, then that's a very different story...
