Re: QLE-PV
I don't think that's how it works. You can't just bundle free software with paid software embedded in it and then sell that. That depends on the respective licenses. See Ubuntu for example. [mod hat on] But in this case unless Rich can confirm he sold reselling rights to Simon I think we can probab...

Re: Aurora Minerva Boot Error
Yes, I have read that but its not super obvious where RAMTOP is limited.
I am assuming its in the badly described D1 at boot section which seems to be stored in i2c ram?

Re: Aurora Minerva Boot Error
Markus? Or did you mean Marcel? Ooops 2nd time Ive done that I think! 2nd time I've read it in the forum today even, by different people! Most British brains for some reason cannot process my name :-D I literally had this exchange at QL meetings: Hi Marcus! Hi! And it's, Marcel. Oh, sorry Marcus! &...

Re: Aurora Minerva Boot Error
Is that the redirected ROM address? The location it is having an issue with is 0x0400000, which is the address immediately after the 4MB SGC RAM area - I believe this is where SGC maps the original ROM to (in your case Minerva). I wonder if you need to tell the boot loader not to test after 4MB lim...

Re: Aurora Minerva Boot Error
the CR2032 is a non rechargeable lithium cell - and the Minerva board probably has a charge circuit on board for that battery - in fact I think it may even be built into the RTC chip on the board - so you should replace it with a rechargeable. However, you can wire a diode in series with the batter...

Re: Aurora Minerva Boot Error
hopefully that will get you going - but you really do want to get that battery swapped out :-) It's probably just a 3.6V NiCd with tags - and then shrink wrapped to stop it shorting to anything. That I found 32E21374-5830-4C26-BE52-563E8E0AED9E.jpeg I assume a cr2032 would be suitable replacement!

Aurora Minerva Boot Error
The aurora I have with Minerva 1.92 and SGC attached always fails ram test first time with this error.
The thing is that’s the first 4 bytes of Minerva rom. So it shouldn’t be testing it.
Any ideas?

Re: Aurora Cases
If I remember rightly - the Qubide card was setup to run from the last I/O location - as SGC/Aurora combo allowed only 2 addresses - ROM expansion area or that top I/O address which is unused by Aurora VRAM. The latest ROM image (QUBATA) actually copies itself into RAM, but knows where it's I/O bas...
