Here's the RAMPRT section fo the QL manual. Might add this to my site for those who wish to use the RAMPRT part of QPAC2.
Note: warns against using this with SMSQ/E.

Re: TK2 and RAM disk
Many systems which came with Toolkit 2 also came with ramdisks e.g. floppy disc systems. So it made people think they were part of TK2. But as you've found, ramdiscs were never part of TK2 as such. There are two main types of ramdisc. 1. Static - these are formatted to a fixed capacity 2. Dynamic - ...

Re: QL2k speed change
The SpacePods MDV on the games page on my website is for the MIST FPGA system. If that's where you got it from, it's possible it might not work properly on QLay/QL2K anyway. The other version on my site is just two standard files, a boot and a _cde file, so can be used on most systems. (I've assumed...

Re: QL2k speed change
As I haven't had QL2K installed for some time, I reinstalled yesterday to see if I could find anything to help you. Not used it for a few years now. Initially, I couldn't get MDV drives to work at all - QL2K froze each time I did DIR MDV1_ . I later found it would only work if I had a maximum of one...

Re: QL2k speed change
I'm assuming you have been through the QL2K speed settings, using the FT_bas program supplied, and set the speed setting in the clock multiplier box in the startup dialogue of QL2K? Many QL games use the equivalent of the KEYROW command to read keyboard (to allow combination key presses), so there i...

Re: Most probably the smallest "QL" ever!
Hi, This is similar to an Intel Compute Stick, see https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Intel_Compute_Stick Windows 10 could be removed and Linux put on with the same functionality as Windows, except runs faster. I used to have an Intel Stick. It ran Windows 10 and QPC2 adequately for home use. Unfortunat...

Re: Announcing availability of a QLNET driver for the Q68 (ND-Q68)
I forget where I saw this (maybe DIY Toolkit?). Wasn't there a device driver which let you peek the memory of one computer from another over the network? I think it was called MEM or something like that. If the clock is PEEKable, that might be another way to access the date. EDIT: It was Volume N of...

Re: Announcing availability of a QLNET driver for the Q68 (ND-Q68)
But be aware that SDATE time (i.e. one parameter) is a Minerva and SBASIC enhancement. IIRC it doesn't work on Sinclair ROMs On other ROMs, SDATE 0,0,0,0,0,0:ADATE time could probably be used to avoid having to break down 'time' into the six values for SDATE (easy enough with DATE$(time), although I...
