Re: EasyPTR C Library
Thanks Dilwyn, I found an old copy of Abbey Fine Reader 8 in my collection of Windows stuff from a bygone age, I've set up a VM and I'm running it now on the scans I made. It does preserver the formatting, pretty much mostly, but doesn't get as much text out as my Linux systems did. C'est la vie, a...

Re: EasyPTR C Library
Morning All, Dilwyn, what scanning/OCRing software did you use, it looks pretty much perfect - at least, it reproduces the manual layout as far as I can see. My system extracted the text but lost the formatting, so titles etc are no longer centered, bold, etc. I used to have something that did the ...

Re: EasyPTR C Library
well done both of you in first finding then scanning / OCRing the manuals. I am entirely content to work my way through the text documents and produce a word/PDF version if that would help. As a newly retired person I find myself with some time to give to such projects :D To proceed with the correc...

Re: EasyPTR C Library
First draft of pages 157 to 246 (preceding what Norman has done). I've hand corrected the first few pages and will endeavour to go further in the coming days; I'll just post this here for now in case someone else feels like picking up from here. As I can't attach Word files here, I've zipped up the ...

Re: EasyPTR C Library
Evening Dilwyn, My copy starts at page 247 and is titled "The EASYMENu Control Library Routines". It's definitely for C programmers. It goes up to page 314. I do have the bit you have too, mine's on blue paper, but that covers the assembly language and SuperBASIC stuff, up to page 246 at ...

Re: EasyPTR C Library
I wanted to wait until I had time to look for it before saying anything - I have a manual labelled "Easyptr 3 Development System For The Pointer Environment Part III", which I think is the manual for the C part of Easyptr 3. It has pages 157 to 314. If anyone has the time and will to do th...

Re: Ubuntu 14.04.4 and uqlx2017
I e-mailed Graeme Gregory to ask if the IP Device Driver was working in UQLX 2017. He says that he has never used IP on UQLX. From a search on the web, I found that back in 2009 someone was having problems getting the IP driver to work when compiling UQLX. Something to do with the version of the so...

Re: QPTR examples
Here are the files from the original QPTR disk which includes the assembler and SuperBasic examples. I am assuming that they are all now freeware as the QPTR toolkit is itself freeware. Thanks Duncan, added these to the Programming utilities page on my site. http://www.dilwyn.me.uk/program/index.ht...

Re: Ubuntu 14.04.4 and uqlx2017
Hi, I downloaded the UQLX2017 source file from QL Homepage: http://www.dilwyn.me.uk/emu/uqlx-fork-master.zip There is no uqlx.html file in the docs dirctory, whereas on github the file is there. why the  difference, as the missing doc file gives import information with regards to UQLX. Thanks...
