Re: OPD: Computer One floppy interface recreation.
He obviously lost the board he was sent then. That's a different board layout to the one in the article on the RWAP web site too. Maybe the one on there was the issue 1. I'm guessing that it is one and the same Adder, not that that would be any real help. I never had the C1 board - the none working...

Re: Best QL Games
I think one of the best games, nearly comparable to other computers (QL does not have hardware comparable to e.g. a C64) was Vroom (a car racing simulation). The graphics was superb (for its time) and IMHO comparable with C64 and Spectrum games. Another game I have liked a lot, was an submarine gam...

Re: QXL Board - Software
Below is a copy from the disk that came with my QXL2 in '96. This SMSQ 2.76 did contain SBasic but not yet the EE part as in later versions. It came pre-configured for different resolutions. The CONFIG should be run under M$DOS to set the QXL.WIN devices but unlike later for QPC2, each .WIN must be...

QXL Board - Software
What software was provided with the QXL board? Was it just the original SMSQ or was there any support software?
A customer has a QXL board, but not any of the supporting disks so I was wondering what I need to send him?

Re: New mdv discovery - QL Expert (an expert system shell)
After the usual faffing with an original mdv cartridge I have managed to obtain a working dump of 'QL - Expert' by Compware. This title was not on the wiki, so I added it to the Compware list page for now. From the name alone I thought it was some kind of interactive program teaching you how to be ...

I attach a later version of the software from 1988 (v1.12) - as an mdv dump again

Yes, I did try to track down Dave Sellars that wrote it but never managed to find the right one. It is a classic game which deserves to be available.
