Re: QL on MIST FPGA board
Hi all, Just noticed this thread. I have had a Mist for a couple of weeks and got the QL core running. It feels like a very realistic reconstruction of a real QL - you can practically hear the microdrives whirring. I didn't realise that QLE was available in the QL-SD format. I will definitely be try...

Re: ATARI ST SMSQ/E
I tried getting this to work in Steem, with no success
One day I will retrieve my ST from the attic and see if it still works.

Re: QBase new version
Hi all, After nearly 20 years, here is version 1.00 of QBase. The (hopefully) full list of changes since the 1998 version is in the README file in the zip. Since v0.99, the only new feature is that the page size and scroll size of the tabular view are now CONFIGurable. Other than that, I have fixed ...

Re: QBase new version
Hi Giorgio, When you are in tabular mode, the left and right buttons (which move from record to record in the regular mode) become page up and page down buttons. There are two parameters, that at present are hard-coded within the application: page size and scroll size. Page size is the number of rec...

Re: QBase new version
Thanks Giorgio, I will implement the variable column width; I just need to think about the best way to do it. In my previous posting I forgot to mention another new feature: The tabular view no longer attempts to load the whole file at once. It can now be paged up and down using the left and right a...

QBase new version
Hi all, Here is the new version of QBase, my database editor for the DBas database library. Changes: - Loads in 512x256 resolution, and is resizable. - May be called with a command-line parameter, e.g. ex flp1_Qbase_obj;'flp1_data_dbs' - Lots of refactoring. The eagle-eyed among you may notice that ...

One question; do I understand correctly that it runs older OS versions in addition to SMSQ/E?

Re: Returning to the QL
I can think of someone.... ;) If you could look past its pretty obvious defects, the QL was amazing for its time. Superbasic is still pretty nice to program with actually; definitely better than most 80s basic interpreters, and, in its latest incarnations, almost ridiculously fast. It really was the...

Returning to the QL
Hello, I am new to the forum, so I thought I'd introduce myself. Since this is more or less a cross post with the mailing list, it may seem a bit familiar to some people I originally bought a Sinclair QL some time in the mid 1980s. It was my main computer for a while, but I eventually replaced it wi...
