Re: PiStorm

Hi

I changed my mind about the PiStorm as I do not like the Amiga Operating system, when I had an A500, I used to type in all the commands from the CLI. I did not like the Workbench system they produced.

So I have sold the PiStorm and surprisingly the Amiga A500 computers.

If you act quickly they have some in stock at PiHut this moment.
Too late all out of stock, I have a spare Pi3b, just need to remove the USB connectors...

Re: Replacement for 68008

Hi, I was going to use KiCad, but I can use any CAD package. My main idea was to connect the new CPU at the same clock speed as the QL, and have it own uncontended ram and leave the video ram to the internal QL ram. So hopefully the timings for the QL will be able to allow Microdrive and Network to ...

Re: Replacement for 68008

Hi, Could the 68SEC000 be connected to the QL 68008 socket with an appropriate DIP to QFP adapter board, with the possibility of using it own un-contended ram? Yes This is actually my initial idea, with a 68HC001 :) ! I have been following your comments carefully and I am glad to hear that a good e...

Re: schematics for floppy disk interfaces

Hi,

I will see what I can do with regards to the photograph.

I have copied the jumbled rom code to a file, I will determine the correct unjumble sequence of address and data lines and decode the Rom, I will save the QL Rom slot where the Rom is located, for comparison.

The Rom is v1.18

Re: SMS2 and STELLA

I am not sure what I am looking at (FPGAs that is). But here goes anyway:- The SMS2 PEROM has a capacity of 128Kbytes. This is large enough to contain the OS and its drivers, the Thing system, user interface, QPAC2, SBASIC, an editor, CLI etc. etc. The Stella kernel is more powerful than SMS2 and s...

Re: Target for major new QL hardware

Hi Peter, Looks great, fitting nice into the QL Case. I do not need floppy disc drives, SD Cards are much better. Besides, there is no Floppy disk interface hardware, no floppy disc driver software and I doubt there is any one to write the driver software. I use FLP images on an SD Card and use FDI ...

Re: QL-SD driver 1.10

... as well as sQLux, Q68 Ummm, no. "Both" in the sense of "byte-swapped" or not. As far as I'm aware this is a QPC-only feature. Nope, I implemented byte swapping in sQLux years ago. I am a little confused, the QUBide files from my QL-SD Interface, are read/write on Q68 using t...
