Re: Enable Caps Lock from SuperBASIC

After all, why should I want/need the same CAPS state in, say, QTPI and Text87? That's not what I said. I want the CAPS lock state that I know I have set . And don't want it modified by an application. Apparently, there's a little LED set in my head that's getting out of sync when applications chan...

Re: Enable Caps Lock from SuperBASIC

On a multi-tasking machine that only has one caps lock state, I would actually consider it bad behavior of an application to hog the Caps Lock state I know it's not what we're used to but, ignoring for a moment the problems it would, no doubt, cause for the maintainers of "hosted" systems...

Re: Q68 serial port

I used QPTI on both the C68 and SGC+Hermes QL. Communication speed was 19200 Bauds. I used the ZMODEM protocol. Overall it went very well. But with the zmodem protocol, the receiver (Q68) needs to send feedback to the sender (QL) after every block acknowledging that it was received correctly. These...

Re: Behaviour of SER_BUFF in QPC & SMSQ/E

My question is how the SER_BUFF port, ouput_size[,input_size] interacts with the default 81 byte buffer(s) that the standard QDOS SERial port driver creates at open-time. The QPC Keywords manual describes the SER_BUFF command, but doesn't make reference to the 81-byte buffer of old-school QDOS. I b...

Re: QL 34th Anniversary new hardware.

Happy birthday, Dave.

If there are any left, I'd like a Miniplane with 3 connectors.

I'd also like a Minerva upgrade with the standard ROM images.

Re: Q68 serial port

However, I was also hoping to use the Q68 as a "poor man's SD card reader" for the GC (+ Hermes) QL... This looks like a typical application for QLNET, for which I hope we will get software support this year. :) That was, in fact, what started me thinking about SERNET - "Hmm... it lo...

Re: Q68 serial port

I was hoping to to this with my GC QL and my (batch 2) Q68 but, according to the SMSQ/E manual, SERNET requires hardware handshaking... SERNET itself does not requite it. You can use SERNET between two Q68 at up to 115200 Baud with no handshake. Also between Q68 and PC (at least with decent serial ...

Re: Q68 serial port
Another solution would be to load SMSQ/E Gold on the SGC QL and connect the serial ports between SGC QL and Q68 via a Null Modem cable. Load in Sernet and transfer the files via the Sernet Server on SER2. I am mot sure you will get 19200 baud.
I was hoping ...

Re: Q68 Notice 3 - Update

Hi, Derek.

Please add my name to the list for one of the second batch (Q68 + case + splitter).
