Re: Trouble with two interfaces
Success with the Expanderam! I ordered a bunch of memory chips from China and replaced first half of the chips on the board. Either it was the wrong half or more than one chip was broken, but when I replaced the second half in addition, the white screen was gone and the PEEK_L command for installed ...

Re: Trouble with two interfaces
Thanks everybody for your suggestions. Doesn´t sound very promising for the early version of the interface then. Mine says "Q1", just below the top transistor. CST_qdisc.jpg Still I will try with a new WD1770 first, once it arrives. Marks suggestion is also good, but I also had no success ...

Re: Trouble with two interfaces
One more question while I´m waiting on the WD1770 to arrive. The label on the ROM says "CST QDisc 1.06". I had a look at Dilwyn's page and there´s only 1.13 and 1.16 (Sinclair QL World from 5/1987 even mentions 1.19), so mine is pretty old. Are there any limitations, so I cannot/should not...

Re: Trouble with two interfaces
Thank you Rich! I´ll try replacing the RAM chips, once they arrive from China.
I still hope the CST Q-Disc can be healed. Strange you also had some odd findings with this interface - I cannot believe CST sold the Q-Disc with the connector mounted incorrectly. Finally you had to bin yours?

Re: PSU alternative?
Maybe I got this totally wrong, since I´m not an electronics guy, but I always got told that using a DC-DC converter on an QL would be a no-go, although it works just nicely on the Spectrum. I never understood the reasons behind.

Trouble with two interfaces
I would need some help with two faulty interfaces. - An Expanderam 512K memory expansion: Once plugged into a working QL, I get a white screen. Interesting enough, there´s a mix of two different types of memory chips on the board. Eight of them are TMS4256-15NL, where the second eight are TMM41256AP...

Re: Qubide clone
Successfully tried a CF adapter with a 512 MB CF card and a 128 MB DOM. Both work without any problem. Great hardware, very well done and at an unbeatable price. Thanks a lot José!
