Re: QL Forum by Email
I do wonder whether this should be setup to download the daily digest direct to the QL-users mailing list - mind you, a lot of people on their will not bother going to the forums to answer! I know what you mean. Although I read the RSS feed more or less daily (time permitting) sometimes I skip a re...

QL Forum by Email
I've been reading this Forum's postings by using the RSS Feeds button in Internet Exploder. Works well enough and easily enough. I wanted to try receiving the postings of the Forum by email, like the ql-users mailing list, using Outlook Express. Here's how I did it, and I wonder what took me so long...

Re: Transferring Software from the PC to the QL
I thought it may therefore be useful to see if anyone has any suggestions as to how this can be improved - maybe Dilwyn could provide a copy of the unzip program ready to use in Q-emuLator (as I eventually did). Good idea. I have QemuLator so I should be able to do this if I can figure out how to m...

Re: Transferring Software from the PC to the QL
I know that the self extracting zip file can be very buggy and I had endless battles with it. In the end Dilwyn helped me out with that little manual program to sort it for you. Rob had similar issues, it's a very tricky step for your first steps onto the QL :? Sadly, the self-extract (SFX) version...

Re: Roguelike games on the QL?
Not sure if it's the same game, there's a zip file Rogue game on the games page on my website, if you have difficulty with the above site. http://www.dilwyn.me.uk/games/rogue.zipdex wrote:Use this link to download Rogue:

Wow, 67 members from all over Europe and USA!
Does the system store any information on where the members are? It'd be interesting to have a breakdown by country (without identifying individual members).

Re: Strange problem with Display Toolkit and Q-emuLator
You will get this problem with most toolkit extensions on version AH or version JM ROM. The interpreter will not allow you to use a keyword in the same program as that in which it was loaded. It must be loaded by a separate program. something like: This is one of the purposes of the BOOT program on ...

Re: How to show a JPEG or PNG picture in a window?
I'm writing a program in SBASIC (with QPC2 on Debian+Wine), and I need it to show some grey scale pictures in a window. I've found Photon (by Dave Westbury). I haven't tried it yet, but it seems it only shows JPEGs on the whole screen and doesn't provide a keyword to load a picture into a window. T...
