Re: Floppy emulator (SD card)
Well, i have just saw your others messages on this forum about the hxc price. It seems that you are looking for a cheapo floppy emulator and for sure we cannot offer you something at the expected price. My advice : Since the QL machine use some very compatible formats (9*80*2*512 & 18*80*2*512)...

Re: QL Commercial Software Preservation
Magazine preservation: I have almost all QUANTA mags - I am sure many people do.
I would be happy to host scans of any other magazines if the quality is good.

Re: Floppy emulator (SD card)
The Trump Card has a WD1770 or WD1772, depending, and supports SD and DD but not HD or ED. I am working on becoming a US distributor for the HxC, but they only offer dealers/distributors the same retail pricing they offer the public, which leaves very little margin. I might not be able to do it. Let...

Re: QL Commercial Software Preservation
I have collected a range of titles from Tim. I will make a list of all of them, replace the pads and see what is readable. If any of it is missing from your library, I will supply an archival copy and manuals for preservation purposes.

I have been taking pics but they are trapped on my phone and I haven't set up anything to get them off - doing it OTA uses too much bandwidth. Today I took the ferry to San Fran and expl...

Re: Ulrich Rosowski
In most QLs the CPU and ZX8301 socket are of different heights and VERY poor. Only the Samsung QLs seem to have better quality sockets that are the same height.

Re: ROAD TRIP!!!!
Carried on driving until I got tired enough I knew I'd be unsafe if I continued much further. Woke up in San Jose.
San Jose is skeezy - everything, even bottled water costs 2-3x what it costs back home. Ick.

Re: ROAD TRIP!!!!
Installed in hotel in Albuquerque. Arrived after dark so no pics.
Very tired, after 13 hours driving 690 miles. Mot of that was into a 30-40 mph headwind.
