Re: Unreliable microdrives
Thank you everyone for your comments. I too have the new add ons (vDrive, vMap, CF card, floppy drives). I enjoy vDrive the most because I can use software hardcoded for mdv1_ and 2_. I was only asking because I also enjoy using the original microdrives, for nostalgia sake. I'll keep an eye out for ...

Unreliable microdrives
Hi everyone, I am wondering if those of you who have "fixed up" your QL's and have working, good condition microdrives could please comment/give an honest report of your experience. I have set up two late issue QL's and selected the best I can find/working microdrives to pair with them. I ...

Re: My QL failed
Sorry, I don't have the expertise to help fix it.
I tried replacing any chip that was socketed but there was no change in the display output.
I have not had time to try unsoldering RAM chips.

Multiplexer chip
Hi everyone,
If replacing the multiplexer chip, with of these recreated ones, do I still need to perform the mandatory mod of the two resistors and wire to pin 1 of the adjacent chip?
Thanks,
Mark

Wanted mDump version 2
Does anyone know where I could get a copy of mDump version 2, the QL program to dump a microdrive image?
I've seen evidence of it on youtube videos but the version that comes with the QL emulator appears to be an older version.

Re: My QL failed
It’s a different pattern.
I can here the speaker click if I press a key so that little processor is working. If I leave the power on, the screen turns black after a few seconds. That could be Minerva entering F2?

QL PCB
Hi,
As you guys might have seen in my recent other post, my QL failed.
I don't suppose anyone has a late issue pcb (D16?) to sell? I want to be able to use my own ROM/QL-SD etc.
Thanking you,
Mark
