Re: Andy Pennell's books.

Hi,<> Myother hope is to get all these QL.book authors to regain interest in the QL. A pious thought, indeed ;) IIRC there was some confusion in that book about the RI stack. (Mine only lasted a few days before it split into numerous pieces, so I dont have it.) Perhaps others can confirm? A general...

Re: Upgrading Q40 to 68060 CPU

BTW what oscillator speed did you use for RC66, is it 66.666MHz or 66.000MHz ? There was 3 varieties of Q60: 60Mhz, 66Mhz, 80Mhz The oscillator fitted to the respective Q60 board were: Q60-60: 60Mhz for the RC50A Q60-66: 66Mhz for the RC50A Q60-80: 80Mhz for the LC75 Q40i : 80Mhz for the RC40 (6804...

Re: Andy Pennell's books.

Hi, Whether there are problems with the QDOS Companion text, it has renewd my interest in Assembley Language, I forgot about a the neat System Function:Trap and Vector, that can produce some neat effects that other Computers have to have them programmed like: Horizontal & Vertical Scrolling, scr...

Re: Andy Pennell's books.

Hi I have completed the date of the QDOS Companion into a ebook PDF format. I have submitted the draft copy to Andrew Pennell for comment, just awaiting a response. I think the book is many years out of date. I will try to determine whether Andy wants to upate the book. When I get an update from And...

Hi Peter,

That is what I am proposing to do.

I will look into the question of Q60 production after I have completed the outstanding Q68 orders.

Re: Upgrading Q40 to 68060 CPU

Hi Peter, I downloaded the Windows version of ispVMSystemV17.9 as you directed, which I loaded on to a Windows 7 32Bit Netbook, which I use for the Q68 FPGA programming. The software recognised the HW-USBN-2A programming adapter and imported the Q60 JED files, ready for programing the ispLSI1016. I ...

Re: Upgrading Q40 to 68060 CPU

Hi Peter,

Thank you for the clarification on the ispLEVER software.

I did not realise that Lattice kept all the older version of their applications software.

I have downloaded ispLEVER v5, v6 v7, v8 to see which will work, with the ispLSI1016.

Re: Upgrading Q40 to 68060 CPU

Hi, I use a HW-USBN-2A clone to programme the Q68, but there is a possibility of the ispLSI1016 being able to be used with the HW-USBN-2A, with the correct software. I had ispLever v1.7 which is Licence free, downloaded many years are now corrupted, Lattice Support do not accept Help Requests on pro...

Re: Next Gen QL…

Hi,

I had thoughts about a Q60Cube, but it seemed that I was too late as Apple had got there first.

But now a Q60 Shuttle would be the thing.

Re: sQLux v1.0 (The Xmas Turkey)

Release v1.0.5 now contains the sound and joystick code from @Exile Thanks for the update. I know OS like tyche bigger than the standard ROM that work in the real world don't in emulators but if say the top of the ROM that exceeds the 48K is chopped and put as SYSROM = tyche48k.rom ROMIM = tychetop...
