Re: USB Floppy Disk Device (Drive) with Support for Windows 10 and QPC2?
Hi Rich, See attached image. DD disk Format.png Used your suggested DD format, as amended by Dilwyn but Windows 7 still does not like the disk. This might be down to the actual USB drive. I have a FreeCom USB drive bought from Scan a few years ago. But here are my question(s) are you suggesting that...

Re: USB Floppy Disk Device (Drive) with Support for Windows 10 and QPC2?
Windows 7 does not support access to QDOS DD 720k disks via a USB floppy disk drive to QPC2, so it is unlikely that Windows 10 will, HD 1.44MB QDOS floppy disks via a USB floppy disk drive are supported in Windows 7. Not having Windows 10 I cannot test that.

Re: QPTR examples
Hi Here are the files from the original QPTR disk which includes the assembler and SuperBasic examples. I am assuming that they are all now freeware as the QPTR toolkit is itself freeware. There was an excellent series of articles on programming in with QPTR in QLToday from the July/August issue 200...

Re: Q68 New users and general usage thread
Hi,
How about this, empty QXL.win file zipped. Download & unzip and you have an empty QLWA.WIN file 256MB. Because it's empty it compresses down to 359k.

Re: Raspberry Pi emulator state of play...
I don't know if SMSQEmulator or uQLx are written to take advantage of multiple cores/threads, but it does seem that if they do and video output was managed on a separate core, performance would increase substantially. If uQLx were truly optimized for the Broadcom quadcore at 1.2GHz or more (eg: usi...

Re: Q68 New users and general usage thread
Please note that if the Keyboard is connected to the Green Mouse port of the Belkin PS/2 Splitter, then the Q68 will not boot at all, it stops on the Boot Screen after displaying the PC.CLOCK. I have also found a PS2 mouse that will stop the Q68 boot after displaying the PC.CLOCK. Avoid, see below ...

Re: Raspberry Pi emulator state of play...
uQLx is about 2x faster than SMSQEmulator. It's up there in Q60 territory. Its not, its not as fast as a Q40. If speed were everything everyone would have a Q60 or run an emulation of their choice on a fast core i7 PC. As for smsqmulator performace stats on an RPi don't forget that the quad core RP...

Re: Open/Close program crash
Another possibility is memory corruption if an SBASIC program won't restart. Have you tried the CLEAR command to reset the variables or checked with QPAC2 jobs menu to see it it reports SBASIC corrupted?

Re: Q68 New users and general usage thread
Hi Derek, I asked Wolfgang about the link to the empty image file. He has now fixed the broken link and the file is now downloadable. Thanks. I have down loaded it. I had already copied all the .WIN files to the PC from the card and thanks to your suggestion of DiskImager I also have an .img file of...
