Re: QL on the Raspberry Pi...?

I just saw that - resisting urge not to buy one - as I don't have an immediate need for it, but then I am sure I can find one. Have to Pi4 boards already for 2 projects I have already - CAR PC GPS/Head unit extension, and a platform for HI quality camera and telescope control, so I can leave the sco...

Re: Sinclair/QJUMP QEPIII Eprom programmer

The ROM in the QEPIII is 'jumbled' so if you read it using another eprom reader it will make no sense as a QL ROM, - if you sbytes the ROM when the card is in the QL, it will give you a valid ROM - I believe there was a program on Dilwyns site to unscramble the ROM image to a standard ROM layout. G...

Re: Sinclair/QJUMP QEPIII Eprom programmer

a quick test with the unscrambled ROM shows it does load the banner and the eprom keyword is there - but typing it hands the emulator, as the hardware doesn't exist

As well as the original QJump version, for a while Qubbesoft P/D produced their own version of the QEPIII

Re: Sinclair/QJUMP QEPIII Eprom programmer

Hi, The Trrump card and Gold Card do not allow any expansion other than to ROM Port. So the QEPIII will only work with any expansion that allows uses standard QL expansion slots. The supported rooms are limited, there are better QL EPROM programmers, like the design by Jan Bredenbeek. I did like th...

Re: Sinclair/QJUMP QEPIII Eprom programmer

I think you should be ok to use a 2764 chip in the interface 1 from what I remember - would have to take a look at the pin out and circuit diagram to see if any specific requirements for that ROM version. Actually just did a quick browse for the 2564 pin out - and it's different - so that won't work...

Re: Sinclair/QJUMP QEPIII Eprom programmer

The QEPIII is not compatible with either SGC or GC or any clones of those - because they lack the 'E' signal which is used by the QEPIII board
